Photography is my passion. I have never thought of it as a job. It all began when I received my first 35mm camera from my mother at the age of 14. I immediately began capturing images of everything around me. I could visualize a photo opportunity even in the simplest settings. The gift of being able to capture those special moments has grown over the years. I went on to study photography in high school and then attended Ohio Institute of Photography and Design. I graduated in 1987 with a degree in Portraiture and Business Management.
Today, I live in East Tennessee near Knoxville and The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Pets are my favorite subjects to photograph. It takes a lot of practice and patience to capture your pet's personality. I like to meet the pet and the owner before the actual day the photos are taken. This gives me a chance to get to know your pet and discuss your photo needs. I specialize in location photography. This can be a special place that means a lot to you or I can suggest a location depending on the type of photography you want. There are many parks and scenic locations in the area to choose from. I can also come to your home. We can discuss the time and place that best suits your needs. Shooting on location doesn't mean you can't get studio quality portraits. I can set up studio lights and a background almost anywhere. I use only professional equipment to assure you will get the highest quality images. I also photograph people with their pets and just people by themselves. You can click on the Services tab to see all the types of photography I offer. I am available for dog shows and other events and fundraisers. Contact me for details. Whether covering an event or doing individual portraits, I strive to make the whole experience enjoyable for everyone. My desire is to capture memories that will last for generations.
